We are dedicated to changing in-home care by building a community of doulas and caregivers that are dedicating to being kind, loving and present in every way!

Job Description

We are currently hiring a postpartum doula to provide kind, loving and compassionate care during both pregnancy and the postpartum time period which we view as birth to one-year.

This position will require overnight care with the opportunity for daytime care as well.

This is a per diem, contracted position.

We pay $55 an hour and provide each doula with $50 gift fund to use for each client to support them in a personalized and loving way.

Pay is every other week.

Responsibilities

Our postpartum doulas support the emotional and physical needs of individuals, children and families through pregnancy and beyond. We view support holistically, ensuring every person (and pet) in the household is cared for.

Our purpose is to accompany our clients in a way that helps them to feel comfortable, loved and supported in a way that feels right to them, and this will be different for each client.

Support Services include but are not limited to:

• Physical and Emotional Support
• Meal Preparation (daytime care) - optional but a plus
• Errand Running
• Pet Care and Support
• Laundry and Light House Cleaning
• Companion Care
• Calming and Comforting Techniques for Infants, Parents, Children and Adults
• Sleep support for Infants, Children and Adults
• Activity Planning, Creative Play, Art Activities and Outings (daytime care)
• Infant Feeding Support including Lactation Support and Bottle-Feeding Support
• Care Planning including Referrals for Support Groups, Therapists, Birth Doulas, Lactation Consultants, Childcare, Acupuncturists, Massage Therapist, Cleaning Services and Free and Low-Cost Service Recommendations

· Ability to be present in the care needs of the family, individual or children we service

· Desire to connect with each individual in a personal way, celebrating their strengths and passions and an ability to hold space during difficult moments as well

· A desire to empower others to feel their strengths and capabilities

· Flexibility with scheduling and meeting clients care needs

Qualifications

• Certified Postpartum Doula
• Personal Liability Insurance
• CPR and First Aid Certification (Adult and Pediatric)
• Background Check (provided by company)
• Car Required or proficient use of public transportation
