As a Unarmed Security Professional - Campus Patrol in Philadelphia, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education and more .

As a Front Desk professional with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will be the first point of contact for students, staff, and visitors, helping to create a welcoming and secure environment. Your role will focus on monitoring access, verifying credentials, and assisting with badge management, all while delivering exceptional customer service. You will help to deter security-related incidents through your visible presence and professional demeanor, responding promptly to inquiries and providing support as needed. Pay Rate: $16.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to all individuals entering or exiting the location by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Monitor access to the building, verifying identification and/or credentials as required by site protocols.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as appropriate.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities and incidents, following Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
• Communicate professionally with visitors, students, staff, and/or faculty regarding security-related matters or inquiries.
• Assist in implementing emergency response activities in accordance with established procedures.
• Support efforts to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior at the front desk area.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
