A leading 500-bed hospital is seeking a skilled Pharmacist for a contract assignment in the York, PA area. This opportunity offers an impactful role within a well-established inpatient setting, supporting patient care through expert medication management and collaboration with healthcare teams.
Location:
- York, PA (near Hanover)
- 500-bed hospital setting
Schedule/Hours:
- Variable days and afternoon shifts
- 13-week contract with potential for extension
- ASAP start
Responsibilities:
- Verify and process medication orders accurately and efficiently
- Supervise and support pharmacy technicians in daily operations
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers to optimize pharmacotherapy
- Provide pharmacokinetic consultations and monitoring
- Utilize hospital IT systems, including EPIC and Pyxis, to maintain safe medication practices
Qualifications:
- Active Pennsylvania pharmacist license
- Approximately 2 years of inpatient pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of clinical pharmacy practices and hospital protocols
- Familiarity with EPIC and Pyxis systems advantageous
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills
