SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Prepare medications under the direction of a pharmacist. May measure, mix, count-out, label, and record amounts and dosages of medications according to prescription orders.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

• Six (6) months of experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy with an educational background in medical terminology and computer use required or graduate of a formalized Pharmacy Technician Training Program with a minimum of 120 hours in an externship program required.

• Ability to get certified from PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certified Boards) required within six (6) months.
