The Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) team can provide you the opportunity to build and operate a suite of massive scale, integrated cloud services in a broadly distributed, multi-tenant cloud environment. Oracle's Cloud Reliability team is building new technologies that automate the detection, diagnosis, and recovery of operational events for Oracle's global distributed cloud services. Requirements:
As a Distinguished Technical Program Manager, you will be responsible for aligning and focusing the roadmaps and architectures of numerous complex systems for high scalability, performance, and security. You will partner with other development and platforms teams responsible for architecting, designing, and implementing solutions within a distributed computing environment to achieve our goals of high availability, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
You will provide technical leadership to a team of engineers as well as manage the alignment and communications across multiple Executive Vice President organizations. You will be responsible for guiding OCI's operational products through architecture and design reviews involving several senior technical leaders and architects in the company.
Qualifications

8+ years' experience in a software product development environment

Development experience in Java/Python, object oriented programming and scripting languages

Strong understanding of system concepts (networking, storage, compute)

Experience working with other cloud platform teams and accommodating requirements from those teams (compute, networking, search, store).

Written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear, concise manner to all audiences

Comfortable in a collaborative, agile development environment.

Good understanding of distributed computing and cloud-based platforms.
Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity and understanding of Reliabiity Engineering principles.

Experience with Jira, Confluence, BitBucket

Understanding of cross-functional platform feature areas in cloud platforms.
Responsibilities
Manage the development and implementation process for large, complex and critical company products involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products. Plan and direct schedules and monitor budget/spending. Monitor the project from initiation through delivery. Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction. Communicate status to executive management regularly.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $139,400 to $291,800 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
