Job Description:

Saint Patrick School in Malvern, PA is seeking a dedicated and passionate Middle School Social Studies Teacher to join our faculty. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in history, geography, civics, and world cultures, as well as a commitment to integrating Catholic values into the curriculum.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Social Studies lessons for middle school students (grades [6-8]).
• Incorporate Catholic teachings and values into lesson plans where appropriate.
• Foster a classroom environment that encourages critical thinking, discussion, and respect.
• Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and projects.
• Collaborate with colleagues and administration to enhance the academic experience.
• Participate in school-wide activities, faculty meetings, and professional development.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and concerns.
• Uphold the mission and values of the Catholic Church in both instruction and behavior.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, History, Social Studies, or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification
• Previous teaching experience preferred, especially at the middle school level.
• Practicing Catholic preferred, with a commitment to faith-based education.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to integrate technology into instruction effectively.
