Job Title: NCCER Instructor (Multi-Trade)

Job Description: The Clock Tower Schools (CTS) and its workforce arm, Clock Tower Achievement Programs (CTAP), are seeking a Skilled Trades Instructor to teach and mentor justice-involved young adults through hands-on career-focused instruction. The NCCER Instructor supports adult participants enrolled through the federally funded Growth Opportunities (GO) Grant

The ideal candidate is a general practitioner across multiple trades who enjoys teaching in a shop environment, values structure and safety, and is comfortable working with learners who have experienced trauma, system involvement, or disrupted education.

Scheduled Hours & Days: NCCER Instructor (Multi-Trade) schedule will be a daytime position Monday through Friday.

Start Date: Immediate

Degree/Credentials Required: Applicant must possess experience hands on experience working in a trade, possess a valid driver’s license, be able to pass comprehensive background checks, and submit a drug test. Experience teaching NCCER is a plus—but not required.

Essential Skills Required Including but not limited to:

· Ability to work in a Trauma Informed Organization

· Strong hands-on experience in one or more skilled trades

· Ability to teach safely in a shop environment

· Comfort working with justice-involved young adults

Additional skills that may be helpful:

· NCCER Instructor or Proctor certification (or willingness to obtain)

· Strong classroom/shop management skills

· Prior experience teaching, mentoring, or supervising apprentices, trainees, or students

· Experience in workforce development, CTE, or reentry programs

· Ability to promote an inclusive, welcoming, and respectful environment that embraces diversity

Starting Salary/Rate: Full-Time Salary position. Compensation commensurate with experience. The position includes health insurance, dental insurance, prescription plan, 401k plan and paid vacation after the employee has completed a successful 90-day probationary period.
