As a Pre-K Counts Teacher at YMCA of Reading & Berks County, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for our young learners. As a certified teacher at Instructional Level I, you will have the opportunity to create developmentally appropriate preschool programs that meet all the necessary legislative requirements and adhere to Pennsylvania's guidelines. To excel in the role of a Pre-K Counts Teacher at YMCA of Reading & Berks County, you will need to possess a variety of essential skills and qualifications. A bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education is a prerequisite, demonstrating your foundational knowledge in the field. Additionally, you must be certified as an Instructional Level 1 teacher by the State of Pennsylvania, reflecting your expertise and dedication to the profession. In order to prioritize the safety and well-being of the children, it is essential to acquire and maintain CPR and First Aid Certification.

This ensures that you can respond effectively in emergencies. As the early childhood education field is constantly evolving, ongoing training is necessary to stay updated with the latest practices and regulations.
