Education Supervisor - Automotive
We're looking for someone who can do all three: supervise a team, teach the next generation of technicians, and still get their hands dirty when needed. If you've been wrenching for years, have a knack for developing people, and want to multiply your impact by shaping careers instead of just fixing cars, this role is for you.
You'll lead our Automotive Technology program in brand new, state-of-the-art facilities. This isn't about choosing between the shop, the classroom, or the office—you'll do all three. About half your time goes to leading and developing faculty. Another third you'll spend teaching. The rest you'll be hands-on in the shop, staying current and demonstrating what excellence looks like.
What You'll Do
- Lead and develop a team of automotive instructors through observation, coaching, and professional development
- Recruit and train faculty who can both teach and wrench at a high level
- Teach automotive technician classes, bringing real-world experience into the classroom
- Work hands-on in the shop to stay current, support instruction, and model technical excellence
- Manage faculty schedules, monitor performance, and address absenteeism
- Maintain program equipment, supplies, and training materials
- Drive student satisfaction and retention through excellent instruction and support
What You Bring
- 3+ years of hands-on automotive technician experience—you've diagnosed the tough ones and know your way around modern vehicle systems
- 2+ years teaching or training automotive technicians—you can break down complex repairs so others can learn them
- 2+ years managing or supervising people—you know how to develop talent and hold people accountable
- Associate's degree or equivalent education management experience
- ASE certifications (preferred but not required)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Why This Role
You'll work in brand new, state-of-the-art facilities with the tools and technology that reflect where the industry is headed. You'll shape not just individual students, but the instructors who teach them. And you'll stay connected to the trade while building a career in education and leadership.
