Land Surveyor - PLS

Webuild ( ) is actively seeking a skilled and experienced Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) to take a leadership role within an expanding land surveying group with a portfolio includes a wide variety of projects spanning the western Pennsylvania and eastern Ohio marketplaces. The ideal candidate for this position will have a solid background, with at least 8 years of direct experience in land surveying, focusing on land development, grading, and construction staking projects. This role requires expertise in managing in-office surveying tasks, including the preparation of detailed information for field crews. These crews are engaged in a range of projects, from commercial and mixed-use developments to wastewater and industrial construction.

The Professional Land Surveyor responsibilities will be comprehensive. You will oversee the preparation of critical survey documents, including boundary surveys, record plats, easements, construction stakeouts, as-builts, ALTA surveys, and topographical surveys. In addition to managing these tasks, you will be responsible for setting up and guiding field crews, ensuring accurate data collection, analyzing field data, drafting survey reports, and collaborating closely with engineering staff to ensure that all projects meet client specifications and are completed on time.

To be successful in this role, candidates must hold a Associates and/or Bachelor's Degree in Geomatics or a related field and possess Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) registrations in the State of Pennsylvania and/or Ohio. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are crucial, as you will be required to convey complex information clearly and effectively to both clients and team members. Proficiency in Civil 3D and with Trimble equipment is also a must, as it is integral to the design process and data collection.
