Parking Enforcement Supervisor- Tues-Sat

The Parking Enforcement Supervisor is responsible for assisting the daily Parking Enforcement operations of the Bethlehem Parking Authority (BPA). The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter that excels at problem-solving, exhibits an intense initiative and values a positive Team Member culture.

Duties:

 Assists in the supervision of Team Members, including hiring, onboarding, training, engagement, coaching, counseling, and performance management.

 Monitors, schedules, and makes necessary changes to ensure effective parking enforcement coverage and covers shifts as needed.

 Oversees daytime parking enforcement routes and schedules; identifies parking problem areas and proactively identifies solutions to assist with parking concerns.

 Responds to parking complaints and all other inquiries from the public through phone, email and disputed tickets.

 Reviews parking tickets for accuracy and completeness.

 Performs on-street supervision of parking enforcement officers on a regular basis.

 Notifies appropriate departments of missing signs, broken meters, inoperable parking equipment and other items as they may relate to parking.

 Patrols randomly through assigned areas, citing parking violations as necessary.

 Performs all other related duties as assigned.

Experience and Education:

2 – 3 years’ experience in Parking Enforcement, Parking Operations, or a combination of is required. Working within a Municipal or University parking organization is required.

 Bachelors’ degree in a related field is preferred.

 Experience in Parking Enforcement management methods and practices.

 Experience in parking operations, parking operations equipment and traffic operations.

 Management of Team Members within a team-oriented atmosphere.

 Experience in onboarding, and implementing new technologies, policies, and processes to maximize operational efficiencies.

Expectations of Work Hours

Full time position and the hours of work are typically Tuesday through Saturday, 7am to 3pm. Must be available on-call to deal with emergency situations impacting parking operations.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
