Payroll Specialist I
- Audit & Verification: Verify the accuracy of employee timecards and resolve discrepancies. Specifically, perform audits on SAP timecards and contractor hours.
- Data Integrity: Maintain and update payroll records for new hires, terminations, and status changes.
- Compliance: Prepare and submit prevailing wage filings to ensure regulatory adherence.
- Reporting: Run, build, and analyze ongoing reports using HR reporting tools to provide actionable insights.
- Recruitment Support: Assist in the recruitment of hourly roles and coordinate interview dates and candidate site visits.
- Onboarding: Lead the coordination of new hire onboarding and orientation meetings to ensure a welcoming first day.
- Workforce Logistics: Coordinate with supervisors regarding shift changes and employee moves, ensuring all updates are reflected in ADP.
- Attendance Tracking: Monitor the shop floor "call-off" line and track absenteeism.
- Special Projects: Team up with HR on site-critical projects designed to enhance the overall employee experience.
- Confidentiality: Maintain and protect sensitive data with the highest level of scrutiny, judgment, and care.
- Systems Experience: Proficiency with SAP and ADP is highly preferred.
- Attention to Detail: Proven ability to manage complex data sets (like prevailing wages) without errors.
- Communication: interpersonal skills for coordinating between shop floor supervisors and corporate HR.
- Discretion: A high level of integrity when handling confidential employee information.
- Adaptability: Comfortable balancing administrative payroll tasks with "people-facing" recruitment and onboarding duties.
