Developer

Akkodis is seeking a Developer for a Contract with a client in Erie, PA. The ideal candidate skilled in leveraging key AWS services and SQL/Aurora to support robust data platforms, including data governance, data quality, and foundational data engineering responsibilities .

Rate Range: $55/hour to $60/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Developer job responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and optimize ETL pipelines using Python and AWS services such as Glue, EMR, Lambda, Step Functions, and EventBridge.

• Build and maintain scalable data solutions leveraging AWS databases like Aurora and various file formats including Parquet and CSV.

• Implement and support data warehousing, data quality, and data governance frameworks to ensure reliable and compliant data operations.

• Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver robust data foundations aligned with business and architecture requirements.

• Utilize SQL and AWS cloud best practices to perform data modeling, transformation, and validation across diverse data domains.

• (Optional/Nice‑to‑have) Contribute to infrastructure automation using Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK, supporting secure and repeatable deployments.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• 6–8 years of professional experience in software development and cloud‑based data engineering.

• Strong hands‑on proficiency in Python with working knowledge of Scala/Java as a plus.

• Advanced experience with AWS services (EventBridge, EMR, Glue, Step Functions, Lambda) and ETL/Data Engineering frameworks including SQL, Aurora, data warehousing, data quality, and data governance.

Pay Details: $55.00 to $60.00 per hour
