SAP's Global Insurance Risk Management organization oversees all of SAP's worldwide business insurance and risk financing activities and provide risk management and insurance support. Its responsibilities include the development and implementation of SAP's risk financing strategy, the purchase and administration of global and local insurance programs, claims handling and management of supplier relationships. The team provides best practices as a service organization for SAP SE and its subsidiaries worldwide.
To enhance and support the team, we are looking for a process savvy specialist in commercial insurance, with a good understanding of various insurance lines, particularly US specific coverages such as workers compensation and automobile, property, and liability. The position will also support handling of international insurance programs processes and will report to the Head of Global Insurance Risk Management.
Expectations and Tasks:
- Manage and administer US workers compensation an automobile liability insurance programs, including claims management.
- Support management of US property and casualty insurance programs
- Function as corporate point of contact for US workers compensation issues an claims interfacing with human resources and facilities.
- Consult subsidiaries in defined territories, other corporate functions, and management on risk insurance issues, including customer, supplier, and partner contract reviews.
- Engage in insurance controlling and reporting, premium allocations, and invoicing processes.
- Assist team in handling of international insurance programs matters and risk management projects as required.
- Provide management with reports and recommendations concerning insurance and risk related data.
- Manage the Certificate of Insurance issuance process and eCOI website.
Work Experience:
- 2-3 years in working in a, preferably international, insurance and risk environment handling US casualty claims, either in global industrial firm, insurance company, or broker house.
Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:
- Bachelor/University degree in Finance, Insurance and Risk Management or comparable degree
- Fluent in English, both written and oral, comfortable in working in an international environment
- Working knowledge of the US workers compensation system
- Working knowledge of all major property and casualty lines as well as international insurance program matters

Compensation Range Transparency : SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP's commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 64,400-146,400 USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
