- Stock and restock medication inventory, ensuring proper organization, rotation, and availability of medications and supplies.
- Follow established pharmacy procedures and guidelines for dispensing, packaging, and handling medications.
- Use pharmacy technology and equipment to process, package, and label prescriptions in a timely and accurate manner.
- Collaborate with pharmacy team members to prioritize workload and meet daily production and delivery deadlines.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area in accordance with pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrate flexibility by working across different shifts as needed and assisting in various areas of the dispensing process.
- Protect patient confidentiality and handle all prescription information in compliance with applicable regulations and policies.
Essential Skills
- Pharmacy technician experience, preferably 6 months or more, in a dispensing, fulfillment, or similar pharmacy environment.
- Active Registered Pharmacy Technician status in the state of Pennsylvania (PA).
- Pharmacy technician license and/or pharmacy technician certificate, as required by state regulations.
- Hands-on experience in pharmacy fulfillment, including prescription refill and packaging processes.
- Ability to work with pharmacy inventory systems to stock, restock, and track medications accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when filling prescriptions, printing labels, and preparing delivery sheets.
- Ability to work effectively in a technology-driven pharmacy environment and learn new systems and equipment.
- Reliable time management skills to meet daily order and production deadlines.
- Willingness and ability to work all three shifts as needed (6:30am–3:00pm, 10:30am–7:00pm, 2:30pm–11:00pm).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience working in retail or closed-door pharmacy settings such as large chain pharmacies is beneficial.
- Familiarity with prescription packaging processes, including punch cards, cassettes, and bulk packaging.
- Comfort working in a non–customer-facing role focused on production, accuracy, and workflow efficiency.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a team in a laid-back yet fast-paced environment.
- Interest in growing within an expanding and technology-driven organization.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities throughout the shift.
Work Environment
This role is based in a closed-door pharmacy environment with no direct customer-facing responsibilities. The facility maintains a large inventory of medications and uses very clean, modern equipment and technology to support dispensing and packaging operations. The culture is described as laid back, professional, and supportive, with educated team members and room for growth as the organization continues to expand. The schedule operates across three primary shifts: 6:30am–3:00pm, 10:30am–7:00pm, and 2:30pm–11:00pm.
