Lititz – Admissions & Volunteer Assistant (Independent Living)

We’re currently seeking a full-time Admissions & Volunteer Assistant for Luther Acres, the Luthercare community in Lititz, PA. The day-shift position is Monday through Friday.

WHAT YOU DO:

As an Admissions & Volunteer Assistant at Luther Acres, your organizational, communication, and customer service skills are key to supporting our managers, team members, residents, and guests. You’ll do this by performing a variety of duties, including, but not limited to:

Day-to-day functional support:

  1. Admissions & sales support tasks: guided by the Sales team
  2. Volunteer intake & coordination: guided by Lifestyle Operations

Admissions & Sales Support

  1. Process admissions and sales applications and related documentation
  2. Support move-in coordination, including preparation and move-in day assistance
  3. Assist with tours as needed (coverage, overflow, warm handoffs)
  4. Manage follow-up communications with prospects and incoming residents
  5. Support waitlist tracking and prospect organization
  6. Provide coverage support during planned or unplanned absences
  7. Coordinate with internal departments to support smooth transitions

Volunteer Intake & Coordination

  1. Serve as the first point of contact for volunteer inquiries
  2. Manage volunteer applications and onboarding steps
  3. Coordinate background checks, paperwork, and orientation scheduling
  4. Maintain volunteer records and basic tracking
  5. Support the launch and ongoing execution of the volunteer program

General Administrative & Operational Support

  1. Provide clerical and coordination support across Admissions and Lifestyle Operations
  2. Assist with event logistics such as registration, preparation, and follow-up
  3. Support special projects during peak workload periods
  4. Step in as needed to support operational continuity

EDUCATION & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent

ESSENTIAL JOB-RELATED EXPERIENCE/ABILITIES:

  1. Knowledge of modern office procedures and practices and a demonstrated ability to schedule/organize work.
  2. Demonstrated familiarity/proficiency with current software applications.
  3. Ability to sit for an extended period of time.
  4. Ability to effectively communicate via oral & written communication.
  5. Strong organizational and follow-through skills
  6. Clear and professional communication skills
  7. Comfort working with residents, families, and volunteers
  8. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  9. Ability to maintain a therapeutic attitude towards, and effective relationship with, physically ill or infirm residents.

Luthercare is a not-for-profit, faith-based, mission-driven organization in southcentral Pennsylvania that provides a network of care and services to older adults and children through our senior living communities and our Luthercare for Kids childcare and early learning centers. In Lancaster County, Luthercare operates two senior living communities – Luther Acres and St. John’s Herr Estate – and two Luthercare for Kids Early Learning Centers.
