Job Description:

St. Matthew School, a PreK–8 Catholic elementary school committed to academic excellence and faith-based education, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Teacher to join our team. This educator will provide targeted small group instruction, primarily in math and reading, to support the diverse learning needs of our students.

The Learning Support Teacher plays a critical role in helping students achieve academic success through specialized instruction, collaboration with classroom teachers, and ongoing communication with families.

● Provide specialized small group instruction in reading and math to K–8 students in a resource room setting.

● Assess, monitor, and track individual student progress using data-driven methods.

● Collaborate with classroom teachers to support differentiated instruction and adapt curriculum for students with learning differences.

● Maintain regular communication with families regarding student progress, strategies for support, and academic goals.

● Participate in student support team meetings and contribute to intervention planning.

● Uphold the mission and values of Catholic education in both professional conduct and instructional practice.

Qualifications:

● Required:

○ Pennsylvania Instructional Certification

● Preferred:

○ Pennsylvania K–8 Special Education Certification

○ Experience working with students who have learning differences or IEPs

● Strong communication and interpersonal skills

● Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, administration, and parents

● Commitment to fostering a positive, faith-filled learning environment
