Job Overview:
InHealth Staffing is seeking dedicated Classroom Assistants to support K-12 students, including those with special needs or on the autism spectrum, in the West Chester Area School District. This full-year contract position involves working one-on-one or in small groups to promote academic success, social development, and independence in a dynamic school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist students with daily classroom activities to ensure equitable participation and academic progress.
- Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and tailored strategies to meet diverse student needs.
- Provide one-on-one or group support to foster a safe, nurturing, and academically stimulating environment.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to maintain a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
- Monitor student behavior, offering goal-oriented guidance to promote socially appropriate behaviors.
- Uphold confidentiality and comply with all school policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum 1 year of experience working with children, preferably in special education or school settings.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; paraprofessional certification or relevant educational background preferred.
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or completion of 40-hour RBT training is a plus.
- Valid clearances (e.g., child abuse, criminal background, FBI fingerprinting) no older than one year.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, teachers, and staff.
- Flexibility to adapt to varying student needs and classroom dynamics.

- Current clearances (no older than one year).
- Commitment to a full school-year schedule, Monday–Friday.

Location:
- West Chester, PA, approximately 27 miles northwest of Philadelphia, in the West Chester Area School District.
