Accounting Specialist

Title: Accounting Specialist

Location: Northeast Philadelphia, PA (Fully Onsite)

Employment Type: Direct Hire

Pay: $20/hour

Key Responsibilities

• Enter and maintain financial data within accounting systems
• Review transactions for accuracy, coding, and proper documentation
• Support compliance with company policies and accounting procedures
• Perform reconciliations and research discrepancies
• Assist with general ledger activity, journal entries, and account analysis
• Process accounts payable transactions, including vendor setup and payment support
• Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain organized vendor records
• Assist with cash receipts, disbursements, and bookkeeping functions
• Support monthly close activities and periodic inventory processes
• Reconcile daily sales activity and assist with related reporting
• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances
• Prepare customer statements and assist with billing support

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• At least 1 year of experience in accounts payable or general accounting
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial recordkeeping
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office tools
