Scope of Position

Our client is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting a variety of manufacturing equipment and electrical systems in a fast-paced plastics/rubber production environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform both preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery and facility systems.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical manuals to execute repairs and installations.
• Install, inspect, and maintain electrical wiring, lighting systems, motors, transformers, switchgear, and control systems.
• Test electrical components and systems for continuity, voltage, and resistance to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Support and troubleshoot PLCs, sensors, and industrial instrumentation systems.
• Document maintenance activities accurately in CMMS.
• Collaborate with operations and quality teams to ensure consistent product standards.
• Train production staff on the proper use and basic maintenance of equipment.
• Adhere to all company policies, including safety, GMPs, and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical certification in electrical or industrial maintenance preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience , preferably in plastics, rubber, or manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, controls, schematics, and troubleshooting.
• Working familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, drives, and industrial automation equipment.
• Must work independently, under pressure, and with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications and maintenance systems (e.g., CMMS).

Additional Requirements

• Night Shift 6:30pm - 7:00am
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
• Occasional travel may be required for training or support purposes.
• Must be able to work scheduled night shifts, including alternating weekends.
