Construction Worker for Projects in Montgomery and Bucks County

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Construction Laborer to join our team. This role involves working on diverse construction projects, requiring flexibility to shift between tasks as needed. The successful candidate will perform duties in a utility capacity, focusing on piping, paving, concrete, and general labor.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to OSHA and H&K Safety policies while performing all work.
• Acquire tools needed for daily operations.
• Measure distances from grade stakes, drive stakes, and stretch tight line.
• Bolt, nail, align, and block up under forms.
• Signal operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery to conform to grade specifications.
• Level earth to fine grade specifications.
• Mix concrete and smooth and finish freshly poured cement or concrete.
• Position, join, align, and seal pipe sections.
• Erect scaffolding, shoring, and braces.

Essential Skills

• One month of related experience and/or training.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Mathematical skills, including the ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to understand and carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Ability to fit test and utilize appropriate PPE as needed.
• Ability to meet physical requirements related to movement and lifting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working in heavy civil construction or road construction.
• Relevant safety certifications.

Work Environment

The work environment involves regular exposure to outside weather conditions and frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts. Occasionally, you may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level is usually moderate.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Perkasie, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
