Role: Seltzer's Smokehouse is looking for a Trade Marketing Manager to represent Seltzer's Smokehouse brands of Deli & Sliced Lunch Meats, Beef Jerky & Meat Snacks.
Reports to : Reporting to the VP of Sales & Marketing
Scope Of The Position :
The role of the Trade Marketing Manager is to work with the multi-functional sales, marketing and supply chain teams with analytical skills to identify and assess opportunities important to the growth of the business.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include administrative and execution of the following; other duties may be assigned.
- Act as Sales/Trade expert and represent sales function in the development of all trade/sales strategies/tactics relating to respective categories.
- Work cohesively with a cross functional team in order to ensure superior execution of yearly planning process - from concept to execution.
- Champion effort with Marketing to develop launch plans and retailer communication for new products and on-going promotional marketing plans, leveraging consumer and customer insights to build compelling presentations.
- Develop simple and flexible trade programs and provide guidance to sales team for maximum ROI.
- Manage the execution and pre/post analysis of promotions and develop best practice recommendations that improve promotion effectiveness.
- Provide leadership to the business planning and strategic planning processes that drive profitable business results.
- Ensure Sales executes against business building initiatives.
- Translate category trade strategies into specific programs to achieve annual volume and profit plan.
- Ensure consistency between account-level and overall brand strategies.
Qualifications:

- In-depth understanding of trade marketing/retail/sales to have a positive commercial impact.
- Strong communication skills & building leadership profile to champion both strategic & short-term financial goals.
- Strength in analytical diagnosis, demonstrating an ability to recommend and implement business opportunities based on data.
Education:
- BS degree required, MBA encouraged
Experience:
- Minimum 3-5 years Consumer Package Goods Sales and/or Marketing.
- Field Sales and/or Brand Marketing Experience in CPG.
- Working knowledge of ACNielsen/IRI.
Skills/Proficiencies:
- Self-starter who takes the initiative. Strong results orientation required.
- Multi-tasker who likes to manage multiple projects at once.
- Proficient at establishing relationships with cross-functional peers.
- Flexibility, ability to work under tight timelines.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
- Demonstrated use of analytical and strategic thinking to drive business results but sensitive to insights and knowledge required to make decisions.
- Bias for action and confident in decision making.
- Leads and drives for change.
