Project Coordinator (remote)
What you will do
Johnson Controls is hiring a Project Coordinator for our Modeling and Simulation engineering team based out of New Freedom, PA. You will serve as the central coordination and project‑management lead for all modeling, simulation, and rating development efforts. This role provides team support functions and ensures consistency, structure, and visibility across global development activities. The Project Coordinator will partner closely with project and program teams, enabling engineering leaders to focus more on technical execution, problem‑solving, and team development by removing the administrative and coordination workload.
This is a remote position for US based candidates. Candidates must be US citizens and/or permanent resident of the US.
How you will do it
Provide end‑to‑end project management for all Mod‑Sim and rating development initiatives, functioning as a program manager for the organization’s portfolio.
Maintain oversight of schedules, scope, resources, and deliverables across multiple concurrent efforts.
Support Agile‑aligned planning where beneficial, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and cross‑team coordination.
Serve as the primary point of contact for project/program teams on all non‑technical topics, such as scoping, scheduling, and resource planning.
Coordinate information flow between engineering teams and broader program stakeholders to ensure alignment.
Assist teams with scope reviews, effort estimating, and resource planning to support accurate forecasting and prioritization.
Organize and maintain detailed project timelines for Mod‑Sim programs.
Prepare and deliver project status reports, summaries, and updates to project and program leadership.
Improve transparency around risks, dependencies, and milestones across global teams.
Participate in meetings across multiple time zones; flexibility is required to support collaboration with both US‑based and Wuxi teams. Evening meeting availability may be necessary.
Enabling senior engineering leaders to dedicate more focused time to technical problem‑solving, strategic development, and team leadership.

5+ years of experience in project management supporting technical teams
