Business Development Manager - Paving Division
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities in commercial, residential, and municipal paving markets
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospects through networking, cold outreach, referrals, and industry events
- Develop and present proposals, bids, and project scopes to potential clients
- Manage and grow relationships with existing clients to drive repeat business and referrals
- Track sales activity and pipeline progress using CRM tools; report regularly to leadership
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing to inform strategy
- Represent Eastern Paving at trade shows, industry associations, and community events
Qualifications
- 3–6 years of business development or sales experience, preferably in paving, asphalt, construction, or a related field
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets
- Strong understanding of the paving industry, including commercial lot work, roadways, or site development (preferred)
- Experience with estimating paving projects, including material takeoffs, labor costing, and bid preparation
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage a territory independently
- Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, or related field preferred — relevant experience considered in lieu of degree
