Job Description

Oversees day-to-day production activities, supervising machine operators and ensuring efficient operation of converting equipment. Maintains a fast-paced manufacturing environment focused on meeting output goals while addressing challenges quickly and effectively. Trains new team members and supports ongoing skill development to strengthen department capability. Leads monthly production and safety meetings to reinforce performance expectations and compliance standards. Ensures adherence to company policies, procedures, quality requirements, and GMP guidelines throughout the production process. Monitors quality and operational performance, applying problem-solving skills to identify issues, gather data, and implement effective solutions. Utilizes organizational and computer skills to manage workflows, documentation, and production-related communication. Works within a union environment while fostering teamwork, strong communication, and consistent production results. The Successful Applicant

Holds the preferred educational background of a bachelor's degree, or meets the minimum requirement of a high school diploma or equivalent with relevant experience. Brings 3-5 years of hands-on experience in production or manufacturing, ideally with exposure to corrugated operations or similar high-volume environments. Demonstrates strong leadership capability in supervising machine operators and managing daily production activities. Skilled in training new team members, conducting production and safety meetings, and maintaining efficient, compliant operations. Possesses strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and familiarity with quality systems such as Lean, Six Sigma, or ISO. Has strong interpersonal abilities and communicates effectively within a fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing setting. Brings proven ability to define problems, gather data, analyze facts, and draw sound conclusions to resolve production challenges. Comfortable working in a union environment and managing converting equipment such as die cutters and gluers while upholding GMP and safety standards.
