Social Worker - 2026-2027 School Year

At New Story Schools, we serve students ages 5-21 with autism and emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges. As the School Social Worker at New Story Schools, you will provide direct and consultative services that support students' academic, social-emotional, and behavioral growth. Your work strengthens student well-being, supports IEP goals, and builds connections between families, schools, and community resources.

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's degree in social work or related field with enrollment in an MSW program or completed MSW

• Must be licensed in Pennsylvania as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

• At least two years of experience in a school setting, including internships

• Knowledge of special education regulations, MTSS, and child welfare systems

• Strong clinical documentation, communication, and case management skills

What You'll Do

• Provide individual, group, and classroom-based social emotional learning supports

• Assess student needs and implement evidence-based counseling interventions

• Collaborate with families, school teams, and outside providers to support student success

• Contribute to IEP development, progress monitoring, and multidisciplinary meetings

• Connect students and families to community resources and mental health supports
