FTA Sweeper Days (York)

Position Overview

Keep our communities fed.
Our focus is simple but meaningful, from our distribution centers to our offices — every employee of C&S and their family of companies works to help feed local families, neighbors and communities. As a Sweeper, you will use an electric ride on pallet jack to move pallets around the warehouse. You will ensure there is flow of pallets from the staging area to the correct doors, and ensure load quality.

Job Description

• Earn $17 per hour

• 1st Shift - Wednesday Noon to 6:30pm, Thursday, Friday & Saturday 630am to 630pm

• Location - 4875 N Susquehanna Trail York, PA 17406

You will contribute by:

• Operate an electric riding pallet jack.

• Assist in unloading cross dock trailers.

• Ensure the flow of pallets from the staging area to their appropriate doors is being accomplished.

• Load, unload, and move materials onto trucks for shipment out of warehouse facility.

• Monitor pallet construction and ensure load quality.

• Prioritize work within your assigned zone.

• Other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

What’s a great way to stay in shape?

• Continually Standing, bending, pulling, lifting, pivoting up to 90% of shift

• Walking on various surfaces including concrete, tile, carpet, etc.

• Frequently lifting of product weighing between 1 - 60 lbs. or more

• Frequent lifting of product ranging from floor to overhead

• Possibility of working on multiple levels of varying height

• Safe handling of sharp objects including box cutting tools
