The Director of Corporate Security function plans, directs, and coordinates activities related to physical security management for the protection, safeguarding, and security of company associates, assets, operations, guests and contractors.

General Responsibilities

  • Assists in the development and maintenance of security systems, processes and strategies based on industry best practices which are used to assess and mitigate threats to company assets and to manage crises which includes the ACFC Security Management Plan and other security related initiatives.
  • Oversee the Executive Projection Program for C-Suite executives.
  • Manages the security workforce at the corporate campus including security/reception services. Communicates, manages, trains, professionally mentors and develops geographically dispersed team security personnel regarding policies, procedures and processes.
  • Analyzes complex security and risk problems, develops solutions in written comprehensive plans, and leads and executes programs to mitigate risk. Including latest industry practices and technologies.
  • Keeps up with the latest industry security practices and technologies as well as emerging threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Develops, implements and manages operational security activities, processes and policies along with associate security awareness programs and geographic crime data and trends.
  • Develops and maintains the ACFC Security Operations Procedure Manual (SOPM) and actively promotes the use of these documents to all security personnel. At a minimum, performs an annual review and update of the SOPM.
  • Conducts physical security audits and performs physical security site surveys. Supports security audits and coordinates follow-up to include assistance visits, documentation reviews, table-top exercises, and preparation of Corrective Action Plans (CAP) for negative findings.
  • Designs, develops, and implements solutions for security system installations, upgrades, repairs and change-outs as well as manages physical security systems installations related to construction/renovation projects.
  • Identifies and tests new security technologies, systems, equipment, components and products.
  • Oversee and manages contracts for security guard services at multi-state facilities.
  • Assists in the preparation of emergency management and contingency planning efforts.

Work Arrangement

Onsite at Ellis Preserve with required national travel 2 to 3 times a month.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, security, risk management, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in local, state or federal law enforcement, military police or corporate security.
  • Minimum of 10 years of management experience in law enforcement or security.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement physical security programs for a multi-state operation.
  • Experience in other security disciplines, such as investigations, intelligence and executive protection.
  • Advanced knowledge of security systems and technology including access control specifically C-cure 9000, CCTV, and alarm systems.
  • Excellent computer skills including Outlook, Word, Excel and MS Project.
  • Ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Superior time-management, communication, technical writing, presentation development, facilitation, and organizational skills required.
  • Available for 24/7, on-call, and irregular hours.

Industry Certification

ASIS Certified Protection Professional (CPP) preferred.
