Graduate Assistantship - Entrepreneurial Leadership (eHIVE Makerspace)

Job Description:Waynesburg University Entrepreneurial Leadership Program is seeking a graduate student to assist staff with the day-to-day operations of the eHIVE Makerspace. Position entails working 19 hours a week in the eHIVE. The graduate assistant will report to the eHIVE Director & Chief Maker.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

Assist with general day-to-day office operation for the eHIVE & Makerspace

Regularly staff the eHIVE & Makerspace, and welcome guests during scheduled/unscheduled tours

Provide operational management of the makerspace micro-industry including but not limited to: customer service, order fulfillment and management, financial management and record keeping, student staff management, and new product development.

Assist with the operation of the eHIVE Makerspace, including ability to train and operate all makerspace equipment and willingness to obtain safety certifications in order to supervise students using makerspace equipment

Assist with the planning and implementation of various eHIVE events and projects

Assistance with the Entrepreneurial Leadership Scholars Program

Assistance in supporting the three Learning Labs for the Entrepreneurial Leadership Program: The Nest, Makerspace & Project GROW

All other duties to be assigned by the eHIVE Director & Chief Maker

Job Qualifications: All interested candidates will need to successfully enroll in a graduate program at Waynesburg University in order to be eligible for the assistantship.

This position requires attendance and staffing at eHIVE or Nest, which may include regular shifts during evening or weekend hours. This position requires the job seeker to be entrepreneurially minded, a self-starter, flexible, adaptable, and capable of working with little supervision. Strong design and technical skills are needed for this position, previous experience is preferred. Professional and friendly customer service, leadership skills, strong organizational and management skills are required for this position. Applicant must possess a valid driver’s license and the ability for passenger or good transport.
