Source 2 is seeking a full-time Maintenance technician in our Quakertown PA facility. Source 2 is looking for a skilled and innovative technician to join our dynamic team. The role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting edge projects within the manufacturing sector, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as CGMP and FDA regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in mechanical and control principles and contribute to our plant installation, and process development and improvement.

Overview:

This position will work in a styrenic polymer production plant, providing maintenance support for the facility. In this vital role, you will ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities by performing a variety of maintenance tasks. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, efficient and welcoming environment for staff, visitors and program participants.

Pay range $27.00-$32.00

Job Location: 45 north 4th street Quakertown PA 18951

Responsibilities:

• Follow standard operating and safety procedures.
• Keep area safe, clean and organized. Meet 5S standards for shop areas
• Diagnose and repair equipment failures and other issues.
• Conduct scheduled maintenance to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
• Regularly inspect machinery and equipment to identify potential problems before they become serious.
• Work with various systems, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic, as well as automated systems and process controls.
• Install and set up machinery, wiring, and cables according to specifications.

• Adjust and calibrate equipment to ensure it meets optimal specifications and performs correctly. Makes necessary adjustments to machines and equipment for proper operation.
• Able to read schematics to solve machine problems.
• Able to root cause mechanical problems and find solutions.
• Perform light welding and plumbing repairs. Be able to MIG, TIG and stick weld.
• Make minor electrical machinery and equipment repairs, troubleshooting electrical circuits, and equipment, make minor electrical repairs, and rebuilding electrical components.
• Maintain proper required documentation for the maintenance department.
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities.
• Ensure all maintenance is performed safely and that equipment complies with safety standards.
• Oversee basic residential painting projects and assist with facilities maintenance as needed.

• Mechanical aptitude: A strong understanding of how machinery works and how to repair it.
• Electrical knowledge: The ability to work with electrical systems and wiring.
• Problem-solving: Strong analytical skills to identify the root cause of problems.
• Hydraulics and pneumatics: Expertise in fluid power systems.
• Reading technical documents: The ability to read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and schematics.
• Diagnostic tools: Proficiency in using diagnostic tools to identify and fix issues.

Qualifications:

• Previous work experience as a maintenance worker.
• Familiarity with the operation and maintenance procedures required for chemical - resin production.
• Proficient in safety requirements in a safety-first manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent experience; additional training a plus.
• Familiarity with ISO and other regulations is a plus.
