Assignment Type: Annually Renewable Contract
Work Schedule: 4 weeks on office/site, 1 week off rotation. Working 5 days per week - 10 hours a day.

Job Brief
We are currently seeking a highly experienced Mechanical Supervisor to oversee and coordinate mechanical construction activities during the project execution phase. The successful candidate will ensure all mechanical works are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and schedule requirements.
Working closely with contractors, construction management teams, engineering disciplines, and the client, the Mechanical Supervisor will play a key role in driving construction progress, resolving technical issues, and ensuring compliance with project procedures and HSE requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise all mechanical construction activities within assigned project areas.
- Monitor contractor performance to ensure work is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with project HSE requirements and actively promote a positive safety culture across all mechanical disciplines.
- Coordinate daily construction activities with contractors, planners, inspection teams, and other discipline supervisors.
- Review mechanical work packs, method statements, risk assessments, and construction schedules prior to execution.
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify workmanship quality and compliance with project standards.
- Monitor installation of mechanical equipment, piping systems, steel structures, rotating equipment, and associated mechanical systems.
- Identify and resolve construction and technical issues in collaboration with engineering and construction management teams.
- Support mechanical pre-commissioning and commissioning activities as required.
- Verify completion of inspections, testing requirements, and mechanical punch list activities.
- Participate in progress meetings, toolbox talks, safety walks, and contractor coordination meetings.
- Track construction progress and provide regular reports to Construction Management.
- Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of completed work, deficiencies, and corrective actions.
- Assist with turnover and handover activities to commissioning and operations teams.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Mechanical Construction Manager.
Requirements and Skills
- Minimum 10 years of mechanical construction experience within EPC, EPCM, industrial, energy, steel, mining, infrastructure, or heavy construction projects.
- Minimum 5 years in a Mechanical Supervisor or Mechanical Superintendent role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical equipment installation, piping systems, static equipment, rotating equipment, and structural interfaces.
- Experience working on large-scale industrial construction projects.
- Thorough understanding of construction methodologies, quality control requirements, and safety regulations.
- Experience managing and coordinating multinational contractor workforces.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, isometrics, and construction specifications.
- Knowledge of mechanical testing, inspection, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities.
- Strong problem-solving and leadership skills.
- Experience using construction management and reporting systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Willingness to work on a rotational basis in Northern Sweden.
Preferred Qualifications
- Mechanical Engineering degree or relevant technical qualification.
- Previous experience on steel plant, industrial manufacturing, energy transition, battery, mining, or large infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of European construction standards and regulations.
- Experience working within PMC, EPC, or EPCM project environments.
