Bookkeeper
PART TIME: Position 8 to 12 hours per week, flexible schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Record transactions: Enter and reconcile sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.
- Bank reconciliations: Match business records with bank statements.
- Accounts payable/receivable: Track who owes the company and who the company owes.
- Payroll assistance: Process wages and maintain payroll records.
- Financial reporting: Prepare basic reports such as profit and loss statements or balance sheets.
- Tax compliance: Help prepare information for tax filing or liaise with an accountant.
Skills Needed:
- Knowledge of accounting software (Sage) a plus, but can teach.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles.
- Proficiency with Excel or spreadsheets.
