Cosurac Contractors is looking for a CDL/Lowboy Driver to join our growing team! This role is a great opportunity for a SAFETY CONSCIOUS individual(s) with a minimum of 5 years of experience. We are celebrating 54 years in the construction industry with our group of companies! We are focused on customer satisfaction , quality craftsmanship and employee engagement and retention . We service the Commercial, and Industrial markets Nationwide with a focus on all types heavy civil construction. Many of these are Prevailing Wage Work! Must Have the Following:
- High School Diploma/GED
- US Citizenship or Working Visa
- Must be 21 years of age
- Valid CDL Class B license required , CDL Class A license preferred
- Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable)
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience
- Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
- Ability to run equipment and load equipment
- Familiar with DOT requirements
- Good time-management skills
Ability to multi-task
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Critical-thinker and problem-solver
Good math skills
Ability to pass new hire and random drug test
Ability to work overtime if needed
Ability to lift 80lbs
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Consistently deliver exceptional client experience by adhering to our core values
- Perform all required safety checks (i.e. pre/post trip) including inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and take appropriate action as needed. Follow all DOT and company safe driving guidelines and policies.
- Move heavy equipment and materials to/from jobsites
- Physical requirements include but are not limited to standing, walking, reaching, lifting, stacking or pulling products of various sizes, on shelves of various heights, weighing between 10-80lbs throughout the shift.
- Verify delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures.
- Maintain a clean and organized tractor and trailer. Unload all equipment, materials and remove all trash as required.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Plan, Implement and manage tasks in accordance with priorities and goals
- Adhere to relevant safety regulations and requirements
- Manage & guide the use of equipment and machinery
Prep/Load trucks with materials and tools for daily jobs
Check trucks to make sure all tools/trailers are properly secured
Maintain weekly maintenance logs for company vehicle
