Behavior Consultant (Fee-For-Service)

At Dunbar Wellness Group, Inc., we are committed to providing high-quality, client-centered behavioral health services to children, adolescents, and families. We are currently expanding our team and seeking dedicated, compassionate professionals to join us on a fee-for-service basis as a Behavior Consultant (BC). This position offers flexibility, quality assurance and oversight, weekly case consultation with school administrators and Community Behavioral Health (CBH) staff, ongoing clinical supervision, the integration of cultural competence, cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma focus care, social determinants of health, and the utilization of an Electronic Health Record software, while impacting the lives of children and families through varied direct service modalities either in school, home and community settings within a select group of West Philadelphia cluster of schools.

Position Summary :

We are recruiting skilled and experienced BC professionals to work within our Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS) program, delivering high-quality care to children and families across varied settings. In summary, the Behavior Consultant (BC) will have a foundational understanding of Behavioral Modification and the use of a token economy level system to encourage adaptive behaviors encouraged in the individual treatment plan. The BC will provide behavioral assessments, individual treatment plans, develop behavior intervention plans (BIPs), as necessary, and work with families and staff to implement strategies for managing challenging behaviors.

Key Responsibilities :

• Conduct initial behavioral assessments and functional behavior assessments (FBAs).
• Develop individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) based on assessment findings.
• Train families, caregivers, and school staff on the implementation of behavioral interventions.
• Monitor progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
• Provide ongoing consultation and support to ensure consistent implementation of interventions across settings.
• Document progress, prepare interagency reports and case consultations with CBH/Philadelphia School District Staff, as necessary, and maintain client records in compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications :

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
• Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) preferred.
• Experience in conducting functional behavior assessments and developing behavior intervention plans.
• Ability to work with children, adolescents, and families, providing behavior management strategies.

Preferred Skills & Experience :

• Experience working with children diagnosed with autism, ADHD, or other developmental/behavioral disorders.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.
• Experience working in home, school, or community-based settings.
• Familiarity with IBHS regulations and requirements in Pennsylvania.
• Crisis management and de-escalation skills.
