Flooring Estimator/Measure Person
Summary Floor Covering Estimator / Measure Person Immediate opening available for experienced flooring professional for a long standing family owned operating a retail flooring showroom known for our superior customer service and professional staff. We believe in creating a family friendly work environment, where each person is an integral member of the team, yet responsible for his or her own results.

A former or current Flooring Mechanic / Installer would be an ideal candidate to continue your Flooring Career! About the Position
This position requires an individual to be able to do accurate flooring measurements, and be able to translate those measurements into a flooring job quote. In addition he or she may be required to manage various projects, and oversee proper installations and customer satisfaction. It is also expected that the individual be well-organized, detailed oriented, and be punctual with customer service in mind.
A company car and phone is supplied or reimbursement for a personal vehicle if used.
Generally a Mon-Fri.work week but some flexibity may be required for Saturday Estimates if needed? Duties The following are some of duties and expectations for this position:
- Visiting job sites in order to measure and estimate labor costs
- Answering questions from customers about flooring.
- Assemble labor prices and quotes for the customer or salesperson.
- Closing the sale whenever possible
- Managing multiple projects at the same time
- Inputting sales orders to the computer.
- Networking regularly and working effectively with other store employees.
- Following up in a timely and in a professional manner with customers or the salesperson
- Prospecting for new business.
- Flooring experience (Installation would be a plus)
- Project management is a plus but not required.
- Must have open and flexible work availability.
- Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and be willing to learn our software operating system
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Professionalism, to include dependability, accountability, and punctuality.
- Self-motivated to excel in your position and career.
- Time management skills for juggling multiple deadlines.
- Clear driving record with current Driver's License
- An up-to-date resume and brief cover letter outlining your experience for the position
