Salary: $20/hr to $25/hr

We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Gardener to join our team and help cultivate stunning outdoor spaces.

Position Overview:

As the Lead Horticulturist, you will oversee and coordinate the gardening team, ensuring high-quality maintenance and care for a variety of landscapes. You will play a critical role in planning, executing, and managing gardening projects while mentoring team members and fostering a collaborative work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and supervise a team of gardeners in daily tasks including planting, pruning, weeding, mulching, and general landscape maintenance.

- Plan, design, and implement landscaping projects according to client specifications and seasonal requirements.

- Conduct regular assessments of garden health and implement necessary pest and disease management strategies.

- Maintain equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition.

- Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and provide expert advice on plant selection and garden care.

- Train and mentor gardening team members in best practices, techniques, and safety procedures.

- Manage schedules, workflows, and project timelines to ensure efficient operations.

- Keep abreast of horticultural trends, techniques, and sustainable practices.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a gardener, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.

-Strong knowledge of plant species, horticulture practices, and landscape design principles.

- Excellent leadership and team management skills.

- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physical labor.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
