Heavy Equipment Operator - Yard Details:

• Temp-to-Hire position
• $18.00 / hour
• Full Time work available
• First Shift ( Monday through Friday from 07:00am to 03:00pm )

• Communicate daily with internal teams and drivers; coordinate lumber usage with the accounting department.
• Safely load and unload flatbed trailers while following all SOPs and maintaining personnel and equipment safety.
• Lead weekly safety talks and complete daily pre-shift inspections.
• Ensure availability of dry lumber in correct species, dimensions, and quantities.
• Manually pull boards for rough mill or custom orders while minimizing waste.
• Keep lumber organized by species, length, and thickness.
• Perform lumber audits using visual inspections and moisture content meters; quarantine loads when needed.

Heavy Equipment Operator - Yard Qualifications:

• 2-5 years operating heavy equipment with a positive safety record.
• Valid driver's license.
• Basic computer skills and Good math skills.
• Ability to read and follow both written and verbal communication.
• Good communication skills.
• Regularly lift and move boards weighing, on average 50-75 lbs; occasionally higher weights are involved

• Applicant may be subject to a background check
• Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
