Staff Engineer (Structural – Revit/BIM)

Location: Pittsburgh, PA 15220 | Fully On-site

Type: Full-time | Direct Hire

Salary: Up to $100,000 (flexible for the right candidate)

Schedule: Monday – Friday | 5 days in office

Must-Haves:

 • 4-year degree in Engineering (Bachelor’s minimum)

 • 6+ years of relevant structural engineering experience

 • Proficiency in CAD, Revit (BIM), and structural analysis software

 • Experience with low- to mid-rise buildings

 • Willingness to work onsite 5 days a week

 • Open to a daily commute of up to 1 hour

Nice-to-Haves:

 • Master’s degree in Engineering

 • Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) license

 • Local to Pittsburgh or open to relocation

 • Background in a small- to mid-sized firm

 • Strong communication and collaboration skills

A respected and growing engineering firm with a team of 13 professionals is seeking a Staff

Engineer with strong experience in building design and Revit modeling. Known as a

regional competitor, the firm offers a collaborative, fast-paced environment with long-term

development opportunities and a notably low cost of living in the area. This is a fully on-site

position with exposure to a variety of structural project types.

Responsibilities:

 • Lead structural analysis and design for low- to mid-rise commercial, institutional,

residential, and light-industrial buildings

 • Produce and model construction documents using Revit (BIM) and CAD

 • Interface Revit models with engineering software (e.g., Tekla Structural Designer)

 • Coordinate with other disciplines and manage design/modeling changes

 • Adhere to company BIM standards and development protocols

 • Communicate directly with clients during all phases of design and construction

 • Participate in site visits and support construction coordination as needed

Additional Role Details:

 • Responsible for all aspects of structural engineering design under the guidance of a

firm principal

 • Follow company standards for BIM content and development procedures

 • Interact with clients and contractors throughout design and construction
