Post Haste is a New American cocktail bar and restaurant in the Fishtown/East Kensington area that focuses on sourcing locally and seasonally. We were named one of Esquire's best bars in the country in 2024 and Punch’s best new cocktail bars in 2023. Our concept is to create a world class cocktail bar and restaurant that reduces the typical restaurant carbon footprint by sourcing all ingredients as locally as possible. This means we don’t import any of our spirits, produce, protein or citrus, but instead support local farmers, distillers and makers.

Ari Miller is the executive chef developing a menu that is ingredient-driven, with a circular approach to ingredient usage and sustainable practices. His food program embodies our local & seasonal ethos with an emphasis on small farms and small businesses. In 2019 he was named "Chef of the Year" by Philadelphia Magazine for his inventive, ingredient-forward approach

We are looking to hire a Host who has experience in an upscale-casual, high-volume restaurant and will embody our core values of local sourcing, sustainability, while providing memorable guest experiences. This is an excellent opportunity for a creative, passionate individual who wants to be part of a forward-thinking and fun restaurant / cocktail bar. We are looking for part time availability, Fridays through Sunday evenings!

Essential Duties

1. Prompt, efficient and courteous service both reservations and walk in guests
2. Effectively communicate Post Haste's concept to guests.
3. Identify special occasions, VIP's, allergen information, etc
4. Work with other servers, bartenders, and support staff as a team.
5. Create memorable experiences for guests.
6. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience

1. High school diploma preferred.
2. Minimum one (1) to two (2) years prior experience in high volume, fine-casual or fine-dining environments.
3. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
4. Must be a team player with a strong work ethic.
5. Exceptional hospitality/guest relations.
6. Prior knowledge/use of OpenTable or similar POS is preferred.
7. Knowledge of current industry trends including classic cookery, wine, beer and cocktails.
8. Knowledge of food and beverage sustainability.
