Controls Engineer - Renewables
- Lead the preparation and maintenance of engineering plans, schedules, and technical documentation for renewable energy projects
- Design, simulate, test, and implement renewable power control applications for solar, battery energy storage, and wind generation assets
- Configure and troubleshoot electronic databases using industry-standard communication protocols and datalinks
- Serve as a primary technical contributor during customer Factory Acceptance Tests and Site Acceptance Tests
- Support site commissioning activities and provide remote technical support as needed
- Initiate requisitions for project purchases and coordinate with vendors and subcontractors
- Manage the design, testing, integration, and shipment of project hardware
- Identify and recommend opportunities to improve engineering processes, tools, or standard solutions
- Manage time and priorities effectively to meet project schedules and commitments
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through consistent communication and technical expertise
- Monitor project financial performance and support cost and schedule control efforts
- Share technical knowledge and provide mentoring support to early career engineers on the team
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a related technical field
- 5+ years of experience in Controls engineering within renewable energy, power generation, or a closely related industrial or automation environment
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 15% domestically

- Experience working directly with customers in a technical or project execution capacity
- Familiarity with Emerson Ovation software and hardware products
- Knowledge of control system applications, distributed control systems, or SCADA platforms
- Interest in mentoring or supporting the development of less experienced engineers
