About the Team
The Professional Services team at Nutanix is a globally dispersed team across the AMER, EMEA, and APAC regions. The team is comprised of highly skilled professionals who are committed to delivering exceptional services and solutions to clients. You will report to the Director of Services, Americas, who oversees the operations and projects within the region. As for the work setup, the job is remote, with no requirement to go into the office. However, there might be travel requirements of 10-30 percent for client meetings, project implementations, and other business needs. This setup allows for flexibility and autonomy in managing your work while also fostering collaboration and engagement with clients and team members across different regions.
Your Role
-
Architect and design scalable, secure, and resilient Kubernetes infrastructure solutions tailored to customer requirements across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments

Guide customers through technical assessments, architectural reviews, and solution design, ensuring seamless integration with their existing infrastructure

Support pre-sales activities by scoping customer needs, defining technical approaches, and developing level of effort (LOE) estimates for proposed solutions

Lead deployment and lifecycle management of Kubernetes clusters, including workload placement, storage integration, and networking configurations

Implement GitOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices to automate provisioning and cluster management using tools like Terraform and Ansible

Develop documentation, operational runbooks, and reference architectures to support customer enablement and long-term maintainability

Contribute to practice development by creating and enhancing reusable delivery kits, implementation templates, and internal training content

Stay current on cloud-native technologies and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency, security, and scalability

Collaborate with cross-functional teams-including Professional Services, Practice Development, Product Management, and Engineering-to deliver high-impact solutions and drive innovation
What You Will Bring
-
10+ years of experience in DevOps, systems administration, or infrastructure engineering roles
-
Extensive hands-on expertise with Kubernetes, including design, deployment, scaling, and troubleshooting in production environments

Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) strongly preferred
-
Demonstrated experience architecting end-to-end container-based solutions, including high availability, resilience, and security
-
Proficiency with hybrid and multi-cloud Kubernetes deployments (e.g., on-premises, AWS, Azure, GCP)
-
Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Bash, and Python
-
Deep understanding of CI/CD pipeline tools and workflows, especially as they relate to Kubernetes environments

Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible

Solid grasp of networking, firewalls, service meshes, ingress controllers, and container security best practices

Proficiency in both Windows and Linux operating systems

Experience with Nutanix Kubernetes Platform (NKP) or similar enterprise Kubernetes distributions (OpenShift, Rancher, etc.) is a strong plus

Architectural design expertise with one or more of the following certifications: TOGAF, VCDX, CCIE, or NPX

Proven ability to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and supportable technical solutions
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 160,000 and USD $ 240,000 per year.
However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
