Wellworks

Job Description

Job Description

Description:

At Wellworks For You, our employees are dedicated to delivering innovative, high-quality wellness technology solutions that drive meaningful impact for our clients and their employees.

We are looking for a fully remote technical leader to be the right-hand to our CTO/CIO. This is not a traditional senior developer role. You will operate at the intersection of architecture, engineering, infrastructure, and security—bringing both strategic thinking and execution. You’ll play a critical role in shaping our technology ecosystem while remaining close to the work, building and optimizing systems that directly impact our clients and business.

If you thrive in dynamic environments, enjoy solving complex problems across the full technology stack, and want to make a meaningful and immediate impact, this role is for you.

Who You Are

  • Versatile & Adaptive: You're equally comfortable writing stored procedures, debugging C# code, or discussing infrastructure architecture
  • Self-Directed: You see what needs to be done and make it happen
  • Technical Depth: You don't just know how to use tools, you understand how they work
  • Collaborative Leader: You can work independently and lead initiatives while being a strong team player
  • Growth-Oriented: You're excited by the opportunity to grow with a PE-backed company

What You'll Do

  • Design, architect, and implement scalable, high-performance systems for high-transaction platforms
  • Build proof-of-concepts and evolve them into robust, production-ready solutions
  • Establish and promote best practices in system design, scalability, and maintainability

Technical Leadership & Strategy

  • Partner closely with the CTO/CIO on critical technology decisions, including architecture, tooling, and infrastructure strategy
  • Help define and evolve the organization’s technical roadmap
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions aligned with business goals

Full-Stack & Cross-Functional Execution

  • Work across the full technology stack, including application development, database design, infrastructure, and networking
  • Contribute hands-on to development efforts when needed—debugging, coding, optimizing, and deploying
  • Collaborate across teams to ensure cohesive, efficient, and secure system design

Infrastructure & Security

  • Support and design enterprise-grade infrastructure solutions in a Windows-based environment
  • Ensure systems align with security and compliance standards, including HITRUST and HIPAA
  • Partner with security and IT teams to strengthen system reliability and data protection

Problem Solving & Optimization

  • Tackle complex technical challenges across the organization—from performance bottlenecks to system reliability issues
  • Diagnose and resolve production issues with a sense of urgency and ownership
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve performance, scalability, and efficiency

Mentorship & Collaboration

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to developers and engineers
  • Promote best practices in coding, architecture, and system design
  • Foster a collaborative, solutions-oriented team environment

What We Offer

  • Direct Partnership with Executive Leadership: Work side-by-side with the CTO/CIO to shape technology strategy
  • High Impact Role: Influence the direction and performance of the entire technology stack
  • Dynamic, Fast-Paced Environment: A role with constant variety and meaningful challenges
  • Career Growth: Significant opportunity to expand scope, leadership, and influence as the company grows
  • Ownership & Autonomy: The ability to drive initiatives and see your work come to life

Our Environment

We operate within a Microsoft-centric ecosystem, leveraging .NET/C# on the backend, Angular on the frontend, and SQL Server as our core database platform. Security and compliance are foundational, with a strong focus on HITRUST and HIPAA standards .

Our cross-functional team includes developers, engineers, security specialists, and IT professionals working collaboratively to deliver secure, reliable, and high-performing technology solutions.

Requirements:
  • Advanced-level proficiency in MS SQL Server including database design, programming, optimization, and performance tuning
  • Strong development experience with .NET (C#), ASP.NET, Angular, React Native and Visual Studio
  • Proven track record architecting and delivering high-transaction, mission-critical systems
  • Deep understanding of Windows-based enterprise environments
  • Ability to architect proof-of-concepts that evolve into production solution
  • Comfortable working across the full stack—from infrastructure to application layer

Preferred Skills

  • Angular development experience
  • HITRUST and HIPAA compliance knowledge
  • Data center and server platform design experience
  • Experience in healthcare technology or regulated industries
  • Background leading or mentoring technical teams
