Mechanical Engineer

Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
Location: Glenshaw, PA

Type: Direct Hire
Compensation: 100-120K
Contractor Work Model: On site

Objective

Execute mechanical engineering assignments involving specifications, calculations, reports, and project studies for mechanical disciplines under defined parameters.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering calculations aligned with project requirements under supervision.
• Develop equipment specifications and generate purchase requisitions.
• Review vendor, client, and cross-disciplinary drawings for technical compliance.
• Conduct field investigations to validate design conditions and project scope.
• Maintain organized engineering documentation and project records.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science or Technology in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited four-year institution.
• Minimum five (5) years of mechanical engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license mandatory.
• Proficiency in interpreting P&IDs and equipment drawings.
• Demonstrated experience specifying pumps, air compressors, conveyors, cooling towers, chillers, and HVAC systems.
• Working knowledge of ASME codes and relevant industry standards.
• Ability to perform field investigations to confirm design parameters.

Preferences

• Experience with pipe stress analysis.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Inventor.
• Familiarity with piping design standards and isometric drawings.
• Experience using MathCAD, Microsoft Excel, or Microsoft Access.
