Warehouse Inventory Lead
Job Summary
Abacus is seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Lead for 1st shift to oversee daily operations in our warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and have a background in logistics, inventory management, and warehouse operations. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient workflow, maintaining safety standards, and optimizing inventory control within our distribution center.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff to ensure efficient operations.
- Oversee the receiving, storage, and distribution of products within the warehouse.
- Implement and maintain compliance with OSHA regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Manage inventory control processes to minimize discrepancies and optimize stock levels.
- Train new employees on warehouse procedures, safety protocols, and equipment operation.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to ensure proper functioning and safety.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline logistics and improve overall efficiency.
- Capable of operating forklifts.
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse management or logistics, preferably in a 3PL or e-commerce setting.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management practices and systems.
- Familiarity with OSHA standards and safety regulations in a warehouse environment.
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for effective team leadership and collaboration.
- Previous experience in a distribution center is highly desirable.
