OVERVIEW OF ROLE :

Laundry Attendants provide a critical service to the Resort, ensuring that all linen and terry are properly handled and ready for use. Laundry Attendants will sort, wash, dry, and fold all linen and terry for the Resort. Laundry Attendants will also follow reclaim procedures for stained and damaged inventory, as well as assist with stocking Housekeeping Closets with ready inventory. Must be available to work weekends and holidays.

$16 hourly to start

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Sort, wash, dry, and fold linen & terry according to Resort standards.
• Inspect linen & terry for stains and other damage, and follow the reclaim process when needed.
• Properly operate the washers and dryers according to mechanical standards.
• Inform the Laundry Supervisor or Directors of any needed supplies or chemicals.
• Assist with keeping an accurate inventory of supplies.
• Maintain the linen carts.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to maintain composure in difficult situations.
• Customer service-oriented ensures that every guest receives excellent service.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

At least one (1) year of experience in a Housekeeping Department or commercial laundry is preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift and carry up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
• Some public areas of the Resort are outside; working in inclement weather is required.
