Director for Environmental Health & Safety

Provides strategic leadership and direction for university-wide EHS programs. This position serves as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies and oversees university-wide compliance. Develops and delivers various occupational safety trainings to a variety of campus customers. Oversee inspections of various building safety systems to ensure safety and regulatory compliance. Serves in a leadership capacity on the university emergency management team.
Bachelor’s degree in environmental health, occupational safety or related scientific field.10 years of work experience in an environmental health and or safety related role.At least 5 years of the above work experience must be in a leadership roleRCRA certificationFEMA ICS Certifications: 100,200, 700, 800 (or the ability to acquire within 1 year of hire)Public speaking and experience developing and delivering technical training to diverse audiences.Demonstrated skill to communicate both verbally and writtenExcellent interpersonal and strategic communication skills to effectively lead, motivate and influence others.Familiarity with EPA and PA DEP environmental regulationsValid state issued driver’s license SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
