Constant learning, skill growth, great benefits, and a team that wants you to grow and succeed.

Position Overview

The Private Markets business within SAP is responsible for our engagement with leading investment firms and their portfolio companies - spanning Private Equity, Growth Equity, Venture Capital, Pension Funds, Sovereign Wealth Funds, Banks, and Asset Managers.

We create measurable value for investors and their portfolio companies by enabling the adoption of SAP AI, Public Cloud, and industry-specific solutions. We work very closely with investor operating partners and portfolio company C-level executives to accelerate digital transformation, enhance operational performance, and maximize technology investment returns.

This role is responsible for owning relationships end-to-end with investor clients and their portfolio companies: from strategic planning and deal support through implementation and value realization. You will collaborate closely with SAP’s sales, solution, and partner ecosystem teams to deliver impactful, scalable results across the investment lifecycle.

What You'll Do

1. Executive Relationship Management

  • Build and manage trusted senior-level relationships with technology operating partners, CIOs, CFOs, and portfolio company leadership teams.
  • Position and influence SAP as the strategic partner of choice for AI-driven, public cloud-enabled digital transformation
  • Maintain active engagement with both investor and portfolio company stakeholders across Global, Regional, and Market Unit levels to ensure alignment and ongoing value delivery.

2. Sales Enablement & Execution

  • Identify, qualify, and drive new opportunities across portfolio companies, aligned to investor strategies and sector priorities.
  • Co-create joint account strategies with SAP sales teams to accelerate pipeline creation, deal conversion, and adoption.
  • Act as executive sponsor for priority deals, providing strategic guidance throughout the sales and implementation cycle.

3. Implementation & Value Realization

  • Serve as strategic advisor from contract signature to full adoption — ensuring successful deployment, user adoption, and business impact.
  • Partner with SAP Services and implementation partners to meet and exceed business outcome targets.
  • Monitor, track, and report on adoption success metrics, proactively managing risk and removing barriers to success.

4. Internal Collaboration & Influence

  • Work cross-functionally with SAP’s ecosystem, marketing, solution engineering, industry teams, and partner organization to ensure coordinated, investor-specific engagement.
  • Provide regular updates to senior SAP leadership on progress, key risks, and measurable impact across your assigned investor accounts.

5. Solution Advocacy & Thought Leadership

  • Represent SAP’s value proposition for AI, Public Cloud, and industry cloud in the context of portfolio value creation and operational excellence.
  • Lead and participate in investor and portfolio company roundtables, briefings, and industry events to promote SAP thought leadership.
  • Build brand equity and trust within the private equity, venture capital, and alternative investments community.

What You'll Bring

  • Significant experience of selling and delivering enterprise technology solutions into complex, multi-stakeholder environments (C-Level and Board)
  • Deep understanding of private equity/venture capital operating models and the value drivers for portfolio companies.
  • Experience working with or selling into private equity or venture capital-backed organizations
  • Strong executive presence and ability to build trust at C-suite level across both investors and operating companies.
  • Commercial acumen, strategic thinking, and a bias for action in high-growth environments.
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams to drive end-to-end customer success
  • Deep understanding of ERP, public cloud, and AI technologies.
  • Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and influence skills.
  • Experience of working in a global multi-national organisation across different cultures and time zones
  • Familiarity with SAP product suite or equivalent enterprise applications.
  • Experience working with implementation partners and managing go-to-market motions.
  • Strong executive presence and consultative selling ability
  • Ability to travel as required to meet clients and partners

This role is global in scope and will require the ability to operate effectively across multiple regions, industries, and cultures.
