Lititz – Skilled Nursing Licensed Practical Nurse Weekend Shift

The LPN Weekend Incentive Program at Luther Acres is designed to compensate a nursing team member for committing to a rigorous regular weekend work schedule by paying a significant incentive rate of $45.00 per hour. The program requires the individual to commit to two, 12-hour shifts, 48 hours biweekly. This position will be regularly scheduled on weekends for a 12-hour shift. (7am–7pm) weekly (Saturday/Sunday). This position has no-on call responsibilities or expectations.

WHAT YOU DO:

As an LPN at the Luther Acres Healthcare Center, you’re an integral part of providing compassionate care to the residents in our skilled nursing center and ensuring they are comfortable by monitoring their overall health and well-being. You’ll do this in several ways, including: 

1. Supervise an assigned skilled nursing area. Designate tasks and provide instruction and direction in methods and techniques of nursing and resident care in accordance with established standards and procedures. Ensure that nursing care plans, charts, and treatment schedules are followed by nursing staff. Perform nursing duties following licensure scope of practice.
2. Administer physician-ordered pharmacological agents, therapeutic treatments, peripheral IV therapy, and hypodermic injections. Observe, objectively interpret, record and report resident’s response.
3. Provide information/updates to nursing staff, supervisors, administration, physicians, and other disciplines as appropriate to coordinate continuity of care.

Our LPNs are assisted by Certified Nursing Assistants in providing care to our residents.

Luther Acres – located in the charming, historic town of Lititz – is a Continuing Care Retirement Community with a long history of providing excellent care and services. It is part of Luthercare, which is a not-for-profit, faith-based, and mission-driven organization. Luthercare provides a network of services through its full continuum of care with three communities in Lancaster and Lebanon Counties. Luther Acres is its largest community, with nearly 600 residents living across its independent living cottages and apartments, personal care apartments, and skilled nursing healthcare center. 

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

1. Current PA Licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse
2. Current CPR Certification
