We’re looking for someone reliable, detail-oriented, and eager to learn. You’ll assist with general building maintenance, repairs, and property upkeep.

• Schedule: Mon–Fri, 7:00–3:30 PM (rotating on-call)
• Pay: $25/hr + based on experience

Full-Time Property Maintenance Technician

Full Job Description:

SunnyHill Properties, Inc. is looking for a full-time property maintenance technician

responsible for general and preventative maintenance of office, residential, & storage units in the Chambersburg Area.

Hours: 7:00 – 3:30 Monday-Friday, with alternating emergency on-call required .

Wage: $25.00+ based on experience, licenses, and education

Qualifications:

· Driver’s License – without violations (Required)

· High School Diploma (Required)

· Previous maintenance experience (Required)

· Willing to have drug screening, alcohol, and criminal background check (Required)

· Furnish your own hand tools (Required)

· Live within 18 miles of Chambersburg (Required)

Skills Required:

· Carpentry, general electrical, plumbing, and basic HVAC, analytical thinking, observant, self motivated, excellent communication skills, both verbal and written,

*Skills preferred: self confident, appliance troubleshooting, door hardware, locks, general BOCA building and fire codes. Borough certifications preferred.

· Well-rounded, analytical, ambitious, self-motivated, driven, performs with accuracy, makes well thought-out decisions, pays attention to detail, takes pride in their work, troubleshooter, clean/professional appearance, respectful, and good command of both written and spoken communication.

· Ability to prioritize jobs daily based on level of importance.

· Able to climb a 25-ft ladder, lift up to 50 lbs, and additional manual labor as needed

· Computer skills related to learning new technology; some excel, researching cost of materials, products, and methods of repair; responding to emails, Tenants, and subcontractors; and timekeeping on employee’s phone

· Ability to utilize basic math skills to calculate measurement and square footage.

Job Responsibilities:

· Plan and perform solutions to maintenance and repairs on a daily basis

· Checking and providing responses to maintenance related emails.

· Follow safety regulations and company policies

· Preparing vacated units for new tenants.
