Parts Support Customer Care Specialist

Dexter, a leading manufacturer and supplier of axles, suspension, brakes, doors, venting products, trailer parts, accessories, and towing components for commercial trailer, RV, heavy-duty, marine, agriculture, and manufactured housing markets, is adding a customer-focused parts professional to our Carlisle distribution team.

A day in the life

You’ll start your day greeting walk-in customers at the counter and answering calls. You’ll check pricing and availability in our system, enter accurate orders, and recommend complementary items that help customers get the job done. When technical questions arise, you’ll tap into product knowledge and resources to guide customers to the right solution.

Midday often includes reaching out to truck run customers to collect and confirm orders so they’re placed on time. You’ll make same-day follow-up calls on backorders, provide delivery dates, and track shipments as needed. Throughout the day, you’ll participate in targeted sales initiatives to connect with prospective buyers and re-engage existing accounts whose volume has slowed.

When issues surface, you’ll research complaints, consult with management for direction, and process warranty or return requests by completing all required forms and documentation. And, of course, you’ll pitch in with other duties as assigned to keep the operation running smoothly.

What you’ll bring

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ year of customer service experience
• Proficiency with computers and phone systems
• Strong service mindset with the ability to learn product specs and recommend the right parts
• Sales experience and parts counter sales a plus
